We’ve set ourselves the challenge of reducing the age of first-time buyers. Our mission is to help all hopeful homeowners in the UK onto the property ladder.
Sound too good to be true?
We understand that it’s tough, but we think we can help the nation-wide struggle to own that first home. Here’s a closer look at what we plan to do.
The climbing average age – 31 and set to rise
Let’s set the scene. Currently, the average age of a first-time buyer is 31. In London, it sits at 33. This isn’t the full picture either, as research suggests this number is set to rise to 38 or even 40.
Why is it difficult for first-time buyers?
Where have these struggles come from? There’s not one specific reason alone, rather, a combination of multiple factors. These include:
- Difficulties in saving for a house deposit
- Sky-high rent prices
- Getting caught out by extra costs, such interest or insurance
- Lack of knowledge about the property market
- Not following a first-time buyer checklist
- Not knowing what to look for when viewing a property
- Failing to ask the right questions
It’s little wonder first-time buyers make mistakes, as this isn’t even an exhaustive list of the reasons. Combined, these have made owning a property much harder. This means many of those hoping to own a property find themselves living at home for longer than anyone would like!
But – it doesn’t have to stay this way.
Why have we set ourselves this mission?
We believe that while it’s tough, it’s not impossible. With so many problems to overcome at once, we can understand why some might not believe that statement.
However, we offer fair, unbiased advice to suit a range of property problems and queries. That being said, some need help more than others! Time to shine a spotlight on them.
We’re here to help first-time buyers. The solution might not be obvious – but we think we’ve cracked it. A positive mindset is required – and that we definitely have.
How we plan to achieve our goal
